My parents were married 61 years ago today.  Amazingly, all the wedding party minus 1 made it to 50. Back from FL, finally. My dad is doing OK, considering. He's had no lasting physical damage from his fall. The scalp wound, which always looks worse than it is was de-stapled last Thursday. He's getting physical therapy and exercise twice a day at the nursing home. He's pooped when it's done, but that's good. Means that they're working him pretty ( Read more... )

Well.. life throws you curveballs from time to time... I got a big one today.

The nursing home called today -not Mom, but Dad.  He fell in the parking lot and banged his head.  The nursing home called 911 and they took him to the Flagler/Palm Coast Hospital.  shit.  I have been talking to medical staff, etc all day and the news is pretty "ok" for ( Read more... )

I spent most of last week down in Palm Coast Fl at my mom and dad's.  I got a lot done and learned a lot... most of this is pretty boring, so's I'll put it behind a cut tag (if I can get it to work)
